This policy explains what information Kisanians ("we", "us") collects when you use the Kisanians mobile app and this website, why we collect it and how you can control it.

Information we collect

Account details: your mobile number, name, village, taluka, district, pin code and preferred language. Staff and partner accounts also hold business details.
Location: the location of your farm or shop that you set in your profile, used to show nearby shops, markets and weather. Delivery partners share their live location only while they are on duty, so customers can track their orders.
Orders: the products you order, delivery address and contact name, order status and the delivery confirmation code.
Buy and sell ads: the text, photos, video, price and location you add to an ad. Your mobile number is shown on your ads so buyers can call you.
Crop doctor: the photos and questions you send, and the answers you receive.
Support: messages and attachments you send to our support team, and website contact form enquiries.
Technical data: device model, operating system, app version and error logs, used to keep the service working.

How we use it

To run the services you ask for: sign-in, orders, delivery, ads, rates, weather and crop advice.
To send you OTPs and order updates on WhatsApp and in the app.
To prevent fraud and misuse, and to keep the service secure.
To improve the app and understand which features help farmers most.

Shops and delivery partners see the order details they need to fulfil your order.
Buyers see the details you put in your public ads.
Service providers who work on our behalf under confidentiality: cloud hosting, WhatsApp messaging, maps, weather data, and an AI provider that analyses crop doctor photos and translates ads.
Authorities when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices

You can change your profile details at any time in the app.
You can turn off location or camera permission in your phone settings; some features will then not work.
You can delete your account from the app (Account > Delete my account). See the delete account page.

Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit and access is limited to staff who need it. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Delivery location history is deleted after 30 days.

Children

The app is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

When we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change is important.
