Farmers in Kolhapur district sell most of their produce in three places. Here is what each market is known for and how to check its rates.
Shahu Market Yard, Kolhapur
The district's main APMC. Kolhapuri jaggery is traded here in large volumes, alongside daily arrivals of onion, potato, vegetables and grain. Most farmers from Karvir, Kagal, Radhanagari and Panhala come here.
Laxmipuri
The old trading area in the heart of the city, known for grain, pulses and wholesale groceries.
Peth Vadgaon
The nearest market for farmers in the Hatkanangale and Panhala belt, with arrivals of jaggery, grain and vegetables.
Keep an eye on neighbouring markets
For farmers in Shirol and Hatkanangale, Sangli is often closer. Putting Kolhapur and Sangli prices side by side before you sell makes the choice easier.
Fresh rates for all of these markets are on the Kolhapur page of this website and in the Kisanians app every day.
